Quit smoking

Postby Patrick Cresswell on Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:32 pm

Well, I decided at the weekend that enough was enough. I've been smoking way too much for way too long and it's really not good.... I don't want to work all my life to get to a comfortable lifestyle and then get struck down with illness! I've been a full-time smoker since I was 15..... 8 years or so. So I haven't had a cigarette since Sunday and so far I'm doing ok. I felt sick for a lot of yesterday and today I have a pretty constant headache, not sure if they're related but I'm surviving. I envy my friends who only ever fancy a cigarette when they're pissed or wrecked.... I generally smoke within the first hour of waking up until the last hour before sleep, and that's what I'm trying to can. Plus I'm saving up for my move to London and this should help significantly. Any other quitters on here? They reckon that the first 3 days are the hardest, is this true?

for me the first month or so was tough...but after that your golden..

still fancy one on occasion though, but i guess that felling never goes away...

Immmmm 14 months next week. I still want one but now I say "I come this far don't do it". They say it takes 7 years to stop cravings. Still. Its the times like, when Im walking down the street in all sick cuntedness that I want one just to make the sick cuntedness perfect. Or standing outside a club orrrrrrr, just those momments when its the iceing on the cake. Still. Since then I've started martial arts, infact I even started a second one last night and the change in energy levels is huge. I feel even scared to pick up a pack of smokes now. My brother smokes outside and when it comes through the window it just makes me, not sick, but its unpleasant. Anyways. Stick at it buddy

Cheers chaps. I've got to say this worse thing about this so far has been the sleep... even though I'm STILL knackered from the weekend it's taking me forever to get to sleep, and when I do it only seems to be an hour of so of crappy light sleep until I wake again. Rubbish!

... In time, u feel the changes. I quit smoking, 6 months later I started a sport. ... 6 months after that I'm now doing 2 weekly sports, playing sport 3 times a week, as well as doing a physical job. I sweat, I get sore, but I'm able to get the fuck back in there and throw my weight around.

My sport place is in an alley way. Proper, gangster ghetto alley way. So, when I get a break, it would be so cool to stand out there and have a smoke like a tough cunt, but, the toughness pushes thru when you say no. Get thru this, and EVERYTHING becomes easier in regards to things like peer pressure. JUST SAY NO!!! Do you hear me??? SAY FUCKING NO!!!! fuck this, im eating maccas as i eat this and you know what? IM GONNA SAY NO TO FINISHING MY CHIPS!!!!

"YES WE CAN" fucking NO WE DON'T WANT TO CUNT!!! COS WE ARE SAYING FUCKING NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
