Guys,

Have any of you used the CDJ400's? I have been offered 1k for my 1000's which to be honest hardly get used at home, I was looking at the 400's as they have the HID in them for Traktor/Serato.

Interested to know what you guys thing of them?

hmmm, 1k for a pair of 1000's is a lil low nowadays i would say.

If you wanted to buy a pair of 400's new your looking at over 1k http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR244782
(i know its htfr, but gives you an idea)

I remember when they came out they was only like £400 each!!

ive used them once or twice at my mates, i really like them. the build quality obviouslty aint as good as the 1ks but they are solid decks. the usb support is not bad aswell. the tracks load up quite quikly. ive not really played with the fx that much but as a rule i prefer to have either a seperate fx unit or have them on board the mixer rather than on the cd player itself as im always a bit paranoid i will either pause or skip the track im playing while im doing some effecting.

all in all i would def reccomend them especially for home use, they may be a bit small for clubs but still v.good decks

you can get a box set of cdj400s a djm 400 and flight case for about £1700 at the moment from djstore.com or decks .co.uk which i reckon is a not bad deal. i am infact starting to save for them now

I sold my 1000 and an 800 to buy a pair of 400s after i saw them in action, they only bit i miss from a 1000 is a wave display, but (personally) the platter has a better feel than the 1000, its more compact and its perfect for home/small venue use. The 1000 is about 930 quid for a single deck!!! whereas the 400 is about £630 a unit. If its for mainly home use i'd go for the 400 and buy something else with the rest of cash. Its not like you can't play on a 1000 if you practice on 400s, its easy to adjust.

I bought mine when they first came out, i think i paid about £410 each

cheers, UA

Right think my 1000's are going on ebay and I will get a set of 400's,

They seem to do all i want. Play CDs, and have the traktor/serato support which im keen on as i fancy it for home use.

Cheers for the info guys.

400's are decent. Ive got one as a back up to my 1000's. Some really useful features such as the USB etc
